Data Coding and Analysis

  • Statistical data analysis (Multiple Regression Analysis, Structural Equation Modelling in SPSS, AMOS and MPlus)
  • Coding infant and toddler interactions with caregivers, coding parent interviews
  • Qualitative analysis of participant observations
  • Training in rating the quality of early child care settings (ITERS, CIS)

Fieldwork

  • Cognitive and socio-emotional assessments of children (pre-school and primary-school age)
  • Participant observations in the home and pre-school environment
  • Interviewing of parents and caregivers

Teaching

  • Lecturing undergraduate students (courses in research methodology and child development)
  • Supervising internships with undergraduate and graduate students (providing research experience, particularly on data coding and analysis)
  • Tutoring undergraduate and graduate students (course work, study planing, statistical analysis, write-up)

  • Team membership on (large scale) longitudinal studies (EPPE, FCCC, WIKI) with multiple members and tight time-tables
  • Organisation and Co-ordination of internship programmes and research seminars
